My Bio
The Halo Effect is a Psychology term which is used for an overall generalization from a perception of one outstanding personality trait to an overly favorable evaluation of the whole personality of an individual.

In English:
It is an established idea that people do not see others in a gray area;
instead we seem to see each person as roughly good or roughly bad across all categories of measurement. We see an aspect of a person and our judgment of them is forever is based upon whatever we saw at that single moment.

Examples:
the iPod has had a positive effect on the perception of Apple's other products for consumers.

You see a young boy helping an old woman crossing the street. You assume this child is caring, conscious, puts others before himself.

You see a teenage girl with a bubbly smile tripping one of her friends and you think, "Aw, they're just being kids."

Five minutes later you might see a grown man with a purple mohawk and 8 piercings punching one of his friends in the arm and you think "danger, danger." Maybe you visualize him flipping someone off in traffic or maybe he cheats on his taxes.
This is called Reverse Halo Effect, which capitalizes on your fear of the unknown into making one aspect of a person into a negative generalization.

Why have I chosen to waste your time telling you all about this?
*shrugs*
Maybe I just wanted to bring this concept to your attention. I suffer from Halo Effect everyday, and maybe I just wanted to call myself that to remind myself to not judge so easily.

But then maybe you're thinking I'm a snobby know-it-all brat who always talks over other people to make her opinion most important.
Maybe you're right, and or maybe that was just the reverse Halo Effect talking.

Here's 5 freebie facts about me.

1. I have never gotten high, been drunk, or smoked a cigg. I try to be as un typical teenager as possible.

2. I have been a vegetarian for almost 3 years. And... I miss meat every day.

3. I don't have a facebook anymore, for many reasons. The site was very fun for a while, but it has single-handedly provided bitter endings to friendships that nevr should have been explored in the first place.

4. I want to do something, anything, in this world, to touch someone's life. Forever.

5. And finally... I can beat the pants off of you in Super Smash Bros, GUARANTEED.

If you ever attempt to draw a take a picture of someone you didn't know personally, but you knew had passed on... Take my advice. Don't. Don't draw him. You will be spending many hours slaving over getting his likeness down perfectly, and you'll slowly, ever so slowly, start to fall in love, and regret for the person you'll never know. You will realize that, when you're tracing the curve of his hands, you'll realize, he'll never lift and twirl his daughter into the air again. Those brown eyes will never again sparkle when he lets slip a joke. You'll never see what he feels when his eyes meet his lover's. You'll ache to see his hesitant
